How do I sue an airline for negligence?

I was in transit and had to spend a night in a city I was transiting through. The airline provided me with a hotel voucher and transportation to the hotel. However, because of the confusing information given by the airline, I was directed to a wrong shuttle bus where my belongings were stolen during a ride to the hotel.
