How can I get out of rental agreement early?

I signed a contract for a 2 bedroom flat and paid 6 month rent upfront. The contract it self is a ast 12 month contract with 6 month break clause. My problem is that the block I just moved into is awful, lots of people in and out and last night someone got murdered. Is there anyway of me getting out the contract early / ASAP? Thank you!
