Do I have to return to employer after being seconded?

21st Aug 2019

I have been seconded by the NHS to do a nursing degree but now the course is finished and I’m due to go back the trust is causing complications in regards to whether I will be paid for my mandatory trainings. Where do I stand legally if I choose to not go back to that trust and accept a job position else where with a different trust  but within the NHS?

It will depend entirely on your written contract with the Trust.  We would suggest that you contact your union representative and/or HR to assist.
