It appears you may not have received the Notice of Hearing (was this in 2015 ?). It may be prudent to get in touch with a solicitor in your area to assist in your matter - to advise and discuss your options once they have had the oportunity to look at all the requisite paperwork.

Parent never knew about Hearing.  Never received the Summons.  The Hearing went ahead.  How can this be deemed as a Legal Hearing?

It is a bit difficult to advise without having sight of any agreements or court order with respect to contact arrangements. Presumably an order must have been made for the child to relocate to England. You should also have had notice of the hearing to attend court. Contact arrangements must not be blurred with child maintenance, and if your ex-wife is "blackmailing" you, you may have to take matters back to court to vary the order.
