Will I be able to contest my house being up for sale?

In Sept 2017 I had a cancer scare & my husband walked out & put in for a divorce & hasn't left me alone. I've since had another cancer scare admist other health issues. Since going to court, where I was ordered to put the house up for sale, my health has worserned & I have been assessed that I do not need to go back to work on health grounds. Because my circumstances have changed would I be able to appeal to stay in the family home or would the sale still have to go ahead? I am not in good health & the stress of moving is not going to help
