I had a charge of wasting police time in Glasgow, Scotland but I never heard from prosecutor

I had a charge of wasting police time in Glasgow, Scotland but I never heard from the prosecutor. I did not receive any update and it's still impending from the last 4 months. Is there any time limit or not? My dad in india had a heart attack and I am stuck here. Can I request the prosecutor to fine me as the time of police waste I was going through mental sickness and hallucinations? And I call the police thinking I am mugged by someone and I explain to them and police officer talks to my physiatrist as well still he charges me but did not arrest me. Its been 4 months and I didn't hear anything what should I do as I cannot leave India as my case is not over yet. So can prosecutor help me in any ways
