Is it OK while applying for a UK work permit to pay the permit fees through the immigration lawyer and have him remit fees to Home Office?

What does the grant letter say? Does she have British husband/children or with indefinite leave to remain?

My daughter in law is about to submit an application for FLR (FP) having had 30 months already under 'exceptional basis'.

It seems she was granted Discretonary Leave under the old Rules and will be completing 6 years with her current leave. She is eligible to apply for ILR subject to meeting the other requirements such as Knowledge of English Language and Life in the UK Test.
