It certainly shoudldn't cost your grandparents for the new business owners to take hold of the Wills. If they have concerns I would suggest that they ask for their original Wills back so they can either store them themselves securely at home or alternatively so they can ask another Solicitors firm to store them. A lot of firms will do that with no charge.

If they are nervous about speaking to the company about this, they can ask another Solicitor to contact the new company for them. Your grandparents will need to sign a letter of authority for release of the Will to the new Solicitors.
