My deceased father's cousin has passed away with no will and no relatives with the exception of me.

I live in Canada and her remains and her estate are in Hove, East Sussex. How do I find out if I am entitled to any of her estate? If we were to travel to England to arrange for her funeral etc., and I am not entitled to her any inheritance, would the estate reimburse us for expenses incurred?
